Do I need a permit to own, buy, sell or transport animals?

While permits are not usually required for most domestic animals like dogs, cats and birds, permits are required for most "exotic" animals like monkeys, coati mundis, pet skunks, venemous reptiles, endangered or threatened animals and other animals that may be considered a threat to people or the environment.
